As a registered charity in Mexico, we have received cash and in-kind gifts from individuals, organizations, federal, state and municipal government agencies (Federal Labor Ministry, State Education Ministry, ICATECH, ICHEA, National System for Integral Family Development or DIF), and grant-making foundations (Fundación INDEX Chihuahua, Fundación del Empresariado Chihuahuense, Fundación Dibujando un Mañana, Fundación de Rosario Campos de Fernández, Fundación BAFAR). Their support has allowed Centro Joshua to have sewing machines and woodworking equipment and tools; offer training courses and scholarships, and food and staples (for kórima); pay for school supplies and teachers’ salaries, among other programmatic and administrative costs.
We are currently seeking funding to build our own facilities near the Rarámuri settlement on a 5,249 feet plot of land donated to our organization by the local government. The estimated cost of the building is: US$ 80,000 . We are currently working on the plans and design of the facilities.
We are also in need of Maintenance materials such as. , school supplies, non-perishable food and other goods for kórima (such as home cookware items, personal hygiene articles, and articles to improve their homes ).
Donations to Centro Joshua are tax-deductible in Mexico. We are currently in the process of collaborating with US-based non-profit to serve as our fiscal agent in the US to facilitate charitable gifts from donors in the US.
